South African Maskandi continues to welcome new releases that celebrate local language, storytelling, rhythm and cultural expression. One of the latest projects attracting attention is SNQAMU SODIDLA – Halala EP, a compact four-track project released in August 2026.

The project is presented as a Maskandi release and contains four songs: “Abahambe,” “Hheshe,” “Halala,” and “Hulumeni.” Music platforms currently list the EP as a four-song project with a combined running time of approximately 15 minutes. Amazon Music lists the release date as August 24, 2026, while South African music publications began featuring the project around August 23–24.

The EP’s title track, “Halala,” has also received individual attention. The song is listed as a collaboration between SNQAMU SODIDLA and Zamokuhle Mdletshe, adding another vocal presence to the project.

With its short runtime and four-song tracklist, Halala gives listeners a focused introduction to SNQAMU SODIDLA’s current musical direction.
