EBUNKUNZINI Album

South African Maskandi artist NHLOSO KHWELA returned in 2026 with a new full-length project titled EBUNKUNZINI. The album was released on May 14, 2026, and Apple Music lists it as a 14-song release.

The project continues NHLOSO KHWELA’s development as an artist within the contemporary Maskandi scene. Its tracklist includes songs such as “Zinyanya Zami,” “Ebunkunzini,” “ISabelo Sami,” “Hamba Juba,” “uMuntu Wami,” “Forever ububhinca,” “iZinqumo Zendlala,” “ANgishawa Mina,” “iMali iYaqhatha,” “Khethile Khethile,” “UYazihlanyisa,” “AMathemba Ami,” and “iZindlu Zodaka.” Apple Music and other streaming listings also identify “AMATSHITSHI” among the album’s tracks.

The album is particularly interesting because it brings together traditional Maskandi characteristics with the polished sound of contemporary South African music. NHLOSO KHWELA’s catalogue has already included projects such as uBUNGANI BAMANGA and AMAQILI AMABILI, as well as the Bancoma iZidumbu EP.
